been living with this record since release day, and it has really got to me: been a fan since the 1980s but his one feels different, more personal. Then I watched spellbound in Glasgow last night as Kristin and cello player Pete Harvey brought these songs alive in front of me. I think I forgot to breathe in some parts. Clear Pond Road is a stunning achievement. eannsinc
Sonic Youth is one of those bands where you easily run out of superlatives to describe what they created. This could've easily come off as a cynical cash-grab by a band that had broken up 11 years prior to the release of this record, but that's not what this is. Some of my favourite Sonic Youth instrumentals. sentient meat

A work of considerable power and subtlety. Certainly a grower but I was hooked on first listen and it seems to improve on subsequent plays. Well done to everyone involved and good luck for the future, hopefully a long and successful future. simon1956smith
